Author Guidelines

Ulak Journal of Social Sciences (UJSS) requires authors to adhere to the following submission rules:

1. Before Submission

  • Authors must register and log in to the journal system before submitting.

  • Submissions are only accepted via the online system.

  • Manuscripts must not have been published or under review elsewhere.

2. Formatting Rules

  • Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx) format.

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing.

  • Title: 14 pt, bold, centered.

  • Abstract (English) and Öz (Turkish) should be 150–250 words.

  • Provide 3–6 keywords in both Turkish and English.

  • Tables, figures, and graphs must be numbered and titled appropriately (tables above, figures below).

  • References must follow APA 7th edition style.

  5. Introduction

  6. Methodology

  7. Results

  12. Conflict of Interest Statement

4. Ethics & Plagiarism

  • All manuscripts are screened by Turnitin/iThenticate.

  • Submissions with a similarity index higher than 20% are rejected.

  • Ethical approval is required for studies involving human participants.

5. Copyright

  • Authors must sign the Copyright Transfer Form after acceptance.

  • All published articles are under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license and open access.

Submission Preparation Checklist

When submitting a manuscript, authors must first review the Submission Preparation Checklist. This checklist can also be accessed from the Author Guidelines section.
Each item in the checklist must be marked by the author before proceeding to the next step. Confirmation of all items is mandatory for the manuscript to be considered for review.
