NOTE: If a non-standard font (not bundled with Microsoft Word) is used, the font file must be uploaded along with the manuscript and the editor must be informed.
PAGE LAYOUT
- Paper Size: A4 (210 × 297 mm), portrait. (Landscape pages should not be used.)
- Margins: Top 2.0 cm – Bottom 2.0 cm – Left 2.0 cm – Right 2.0 cm
- Font: Times New Roman
- Font Size: Section headings 11 pt, body text 11 pt, abstract 9 pt, footnotes 8 pt
- Paragraph Spacing: Before 6 pt – After 6 pt
- First-Line Indent: None
- Line Spacing: Single in text and footnotes
TITLES
- Article Title (TR & EN): Sentence case, centered, Times New Roman, 12 pt, bold.
- Section Headings: Times New Roman, 11 pt, bold.
NUMBERING
Use the following hierarchical numbering for sections:
- ABSTRACT / ÖZET – Not numbered
- 1. INTRODUCTION – (All caps, left-aligned, bold, 11 pt)
- 2. MAIN HEADINGS – (All caps, left-aligned, bold, 11 pt)
- 2.1. Subheading – (Title case, left-aligned, bold, 11 pt)
- 2.1.1. Sub-subheading – (Title case, left-aligned, bold, 11 pt)
- 3. CONCLUSION – (All caps, left-aligned, bold, 11 pt)
- REFERENCES – (Times New Roman, 11 pt, not numbered)
FIGURES, TABLES, MAPS, PHOTOGRAPHS
- Visual elements must remain within the text area; place on a separate page if necessary.
- All figures and tables must be numbered and captioned in Turkish or English, as appropriate.
- Table captions appear above the table; figure captions appear below the figure.
- Use 10 pt for numbers and captions (capitalize initial letters only).
- Use Times New Roman 8 pt inside tables/figures.
- Provide the source below the table/figure when applicable.
Example:
Table 1. Social Policy Indicators (Caption 10 pt) – Content 8 pt
Figure 1. Process of Social Change (Caption 10 pt)
ABSTRACT & KEYWORDS
- Both Turkish and English abstracts are required (150–250 words each).
- Provide 3–5 keywords below each abstract.
APA 7 – IN-TEXT CITATIONS & REFERENCES
In-Text Citations
- Parenthetical: Author surname and year in parentheses. e.g., (Koehler, 2016).
- Narrative: Author surname in text, year in parentheses. e.g., Koehler (2016) …
- Multiple sources: Separate with semicolons. e.g., (Acemoglu & Robinson, 2012; Adams, 1998; Williams et al., 2010).
- Same author, same year: Distinguish with letters. e.g., (Mason, 2000a, 2000b).
- Same author, different years: e.g., (Mason, 2000, 2003).
- Page/paragraph: Add when needed. e.g., (Webster-Stratton, 2016, pp. 152–153).
- Short quotes (< 40 words): Use quotation marks within the text.
- Block quotes (≥ 40 words): Indent ~1.25 in (3 cm); no quotation marks.
- Personal communications: Cite in text only (not in References). e.g., (T. Nuyen, personal communication, February 24, 2020).
- Secondary sources: e.g., (Rabbitt, 1982, as cited in Lyon et al., 2014).

- Alphabetize by author surname.
- Use APA 7 style only.
- Include DOI when available.
